About ConfigLabs · v5.0.0-beta

Network configuration,
simplified.

Built by network engineers, for network engineers. ConfigLabs is a free, independent tool that generates production-ready configs for H3C and Cisco devices — without the CLI headaches.

The problem we solve

Every network engineer knows the pain: you've configured the same VLAN structure a hundred times, but every time you have to look up the syntax, double-check command order, and pray you don't typo a single character. ConfigLabs eliminates that friction.

📚

CLI Memorization

H3C uses different syntax than Cisco. Cisco IOS differs from NX-OS. ConfigLabs handles all that for you.

⌨️

Typos & Errors

One missing space, one wrong VLAN ID, and your network breaks. Visual builders catch mistakes before they happen.

⏱️

Time Wasted

Stop digging through vendor docs. Build configs in minutes, not hours.

ConfigLabs started as a side project — a way to make repetitive network configuration faster and more reliable. What began as a personal tool for H3C devices grew into a multi-vendor platform supporting Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS, with more vendors on the way.

The mission is simple: make network engineers' lives easier, for free.

How it works

Three simple steps from blank page to deployable config:

Pick Your Vendor

Choose between H3C Comware or Cisco (IOS, IOS-XE, or NX-OS). The UI adapts to vendor-specific syntax automatically.

Fill The Form

Add VLANs, interfaces, DHCP pools, OSPF, ACLs — all visually. Use a template to start fast, or build from scratch.

Copy & Deploy

Click generate, copy the CLI output, paste into your switch. Production-ready, vendor-correct, and validated syntax.

What you get

Everything you need, nothing you don't:

Free forever — no login, no paywall, no ads
4 vendor OS supported (H3C + 3 Cisco variants)
25+ pre-built templates to start fast
Visual builder (no CLI memorization)
One-click copy & download
Works on desktop and mobile
Dark & light theme
Session history (revisit past configs)
Privacy-first — nothing tracked, nothing stored

Common questions

Is ConfigLabs affiliated with H3C or Cisco?
No. ConfigLabs is an independent tool — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by New H3C Technologies Co., Ltd., Cisco Systems, Inc., or any other vendor. H3C®, Comware®, Cisco®, IOS®, IOS-XE®, and NX-OS® are registered trademarks of their respective owners. We just respect their platforms.
Can I trust the generated configs in production?
Always review and test in a lab environment first. ConfigLabs follows official vendor syntax and best practices, but every network is different. The tool is provided "AS IS" — you're responsible for what you deploy.
Is my data private? Do you store my configs?
Yes, your data is private. ConfigLabs doesn't require login, doesn't track you, and doesn't store your configurations on our servers. Configs are generated on-demand and only kept in your browser session (history clears when you close the tab).
Why is this free? What's the catch?
There's no catch. ConfigLabs is built as a passion project for the networking community. If it saves you time, you can support it via Saweria — but you don't have to. The tool stays free regardless.
Can I use this commercially or at my company?
Yes! Use it for any purpose — personal projects, work, lab studies, certifications, client deployments. No license required, no attribution needed. Just don't redistribute it as your own product.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Click the 💬 feedback button in the app, or open an issue on GitHub. We read every message and prioritize based on impact.
What vendors will be added next?
Huawei VRP and Juniper Junos are next on the roadmap, followed by Arista EOS and MikroTik RouterOS. Got a vendor request? Send feedback and let us know!
How can I stay updated on new features?
Star the GitHub repo to follow updates. Major releases will be announced there. Social media accounts coming soon.
